Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how MiPose ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects your information when you use the MiPose app for iPhone and this website (together, the "Service"), and the rights you have over your data.

In short: your camera and your photos stay on your iPhone. MiPose never uploads what your camera sees, and it can only add photos to your library, never look at it. We keep the minimum needed to run your account, your favourites and your subscription, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account from the app at any time.

Who We Are

MiPose is based in the United Kingdom and is the controller of your personal data for the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. You can contact us at contact@ruvou.com.

Data We Collect

Account information

You sign in to MiPose with Apple or Google. When you do, we receive and store:

Favourites

The poses you save to your favourites, and when you saved them, so they are available on every device you sign in to.

Subscription information

If you subscribe to MiPose Premium, we store your plan (monthly or annual), whether it is active, trial, renewal and expiry dates, and purchase identifiers. Payments are handled entirely by Apple: we never see or store your card or payment details.

Technical data

When the app talks to our servers, our hosting provider records standard technical information such as your IP address, the time of the request, the app's requests (for example, which pose was opened in the camera) and error details. We use this to keep the Service secure and to fix problems.

Messages you send us

If you contact us through the form on this website or by email, we receive your name, email address and message.

What we don't collect

Device Permissions

With your permission, the app uses:

You can change these permissions at any time in your iPhone's Settings. Your camera preferences (such as the timer and grid) are stored only on your iPhone.

How We Use Your Data

Under UK data protection law we must have a lawful basis for using your data. We use it:

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Service Providers

We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf, only to run the Service and under contracts that require them to protect it:

International Transfers

Some of these providers may process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where that happens, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement and Addendum, so your data stays protected.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Apple and RevenueCat keep their own records of purchases, as described in their privacy policies.

Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account at any time in the app: open Profile and tap Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, favourites and subscription records from our systems, and revokes MiPose's access to your Sign in with Apple account. You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing contact@ruvou.com.

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple: cancel yours in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

To use any of these rights, email contact@ruvou.com. We will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit between the app and our servers, your sign-in is stored in your iPhone's secure Keychain, and access to our systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Children

MiPose is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The new version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If the changes are significant, we will also let you know in the app.
